Greenwashing is an interesting video, which discusses how companies use digital media to brainwash or influence the viewer or customer.
The video has cleverly used puppets as the characters to discuss the topic, which makes a more appealing and fun video, as well as using humour and images.
The message that can be taken from the video is that anyone can use effects such as sublimation to stretch the truth. The example used was the use of the colour green in logos, which makes the customer think they are a ‘green’ or environmentally friendly company. This however may not be true.
I would find this video useful in the classroom to show students how you can use effects to tell a message.
